Shield
Red and white are colors traditionally used by Engineer units. The castle tower is a symbol of Army Engineer units. The increscent represents day and night eclipse and stands for the nonstop mission of the Battalion, day through night. The morion (Spanish Conquistador helmet) represents the Puerto Rican militia's heritage and tradition. The chevron is symbolic of a bridge and represents the mission of the unit: building bridges, structures and roads to overcome any obstacle and making it blue symbolizes the origins of the unit from an Infantry Battalion (295th Infantry Battalion) and also represents the mission of the Battalion even in the deep sea.
Crest
The crest is that of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard.
